Umpire Jim Joyce’s Horrible, Wrong Call at 1st Base Ruins Armando Galarraga’s Perfect Game [UPDATE]

Jim Joyce blew it. He ruined Armando Galarraga’s perfect game on the final out. Jason Donald was clearly out at first – according to every replay – but Joyce called him safe. Embarrassing. Travesty. Abomination. Can MLB get robot umpires for the postseason? How about, at a minimum, two instant replay challenges a game like the NFL has? Screw the human element, Harold Reynolds.
